The Blockchain Application Development (BAD) Blended Intensive Programme offers students an interdisciplinary and practical training path focused on the design and development of blockchain-based applications. The programme addresses key topics such as blockchain technologies, Ethereum, smart contract development with Solidity, decentralized applications, security, privacy protection, and digital identity management through technologies such as Decentralized Identifiers and Verifiable Credentials.
The programme combines an online preparatory component with an intensive in-person week at the University of Salerno, Fisciano Campus. During the virtual phase, students will acquire a common foundation in blockchain concepts, Ethereum-based development, and smart contract programming. The in-person activities will then focus on seminars, hands-on laboratories, teamwork, and the development of practical case studies. Participants will work in international teams and will prepare a final presentation based on the project developed during the course.
The added value of the programme lies in its end-to-end practical approach: students will not only study blockchain technologies from a theoretical perspective, but will also design and prototype decentralized applications addressing real-world challenges related to cybersecurity, privacy, and digital identity. The programme also promotes international collaboration among students and academic partners from different European universities.
