We are glad to share that our team member Maria Caterina D’Aloia took part in QSNS 2026 – the 3rd Workshop on Quantum-Secure Networks and Systems, co-located with IEEE ISCC 2026 in Vilamoura, Portugal, with the paper Priority-Aware Key Assignment for Exhaustion-Resilient QKD Key Management Systems.
The paper proposes a priority-aware key assignment strategy for Quantum Key Distribution Key Management Systems, addressing the risk of key exhaustion caused by malicious or excessive key requests.
The proposed approach combines admission control, protected key reserves, and adaptive feedback mechanisms within the key allocation workflow, aiming to preserve the availability of key material for high-priority services even under exhaustion-oriented attacks.
This work contributes to the development of more robust QKD network management systems and supports the broader goal of building secure and resilient quantum communication infrastructures.
